Crossville Resident Scammed by Fake Health Department Call

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies made contact with a 70 year old Crossville man who received a phone call claiming to be the Health Department. They asked him for personal information such as height, weight, medical information, and social security number. He gave the scammers all information including his social security number. They then hung up on the victim and after trying to call the number back the phone could not be reached again.
