In a work session and special called meeting of the Cumberland County Board of Education, board members discussed salary and contract terms for the Director of Schools position. Dr. Ina Maxwell was chosen for the post from four local candidates. The board voted to offer Dr. Maxwell an annual salary of $107,000 with a 3-year contract. The board will meet again on Thursday to finalize the agreement.
