With long-term care residents comprising nearly 40 percent of all COVID-19-related deaths in Tennessee, the Tennessee Department Of Health is now requiring that all nursing homes complete an “intent to test” survey by June 1, 2020 and all nursing home residents and staff must be tested by June 30, 2020. Nursing homes that fail to comply with the rules face penalties, fines and license suspension or revocation.
