Deputies in Knox County have found the body of a child at a home in Halls that was once occupied by the Roane County couple charged with abusing their children and burying one daughter in the backyard of their current home in the Ten Mile area. The deceased child has been identified as the adopted son of 63-year-old Michael Anthony Gray and his wife, 60-year-old Shirley Gray. WVLT reports that the Grays used to live in the Halls neighborhood about 3 or 4 years ago. That home is now occupied by their son, Michael Anthony Gray, Jr. Officials have been digging in the backyard of the Halls home and computers, boxes and other items have also been taken from the house. According to WVLT, Investigators said both children were never reported dead and that the couple continued to receive money from the government.
