The NASCAR Cup Series made a stop in Tennessee yesterday to race at Bristol Motor Speedway. This was the first short track race of 2020. The race was met with many crashed as Ryan Blaney and Ty Dillon made a collision and Jimmie Johnson and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. were involved in separate crash which triggered a 5 to 6 car pile up during the race. With a little less than 2 to go Joey Logano and Chase Elliot were racing for the win side by side when Chase Elliot collided with Logano taking them both out of contention. Brad Keselowski ,who was third during this time, passed by both drivers and ultimately winning the race. After the race Elliot made a statement that he was “Going for the win”. They then spoke with Logano as he said “He wrecked me”, and “I had to force an apology”. The next Cup race will be Sunday June 7th at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Bristol Tennessee will still see racing as the Xfinity Series will run their respective race tonight on Fox Sports 1.
