The Stone Memorial High School Panthers played host to the Kingston Yellowjackets Friday night. The Panthers handed the road team their first loss of the season, 36-35 the final in overtime. After the Yellowjackets scored seven points on their overtime possession the Panthers answered with a touchdown of their own and then added a successful 2-point conversion for the win. Next up for SMHS will be another home game as they entertain the Macon County Tigers in a region match-up on Friday, October 2nd. All the action of the homecoming game will air on Mix 99.3.
Cumberland County High School entertained the high scoring Walker Valley Mustangs for homecoming. The road team held a 20-7 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 47-7 win over the Jets.
