A United States Postal Service truck crashed at the 313 westbound mile marker in Cumberland County early Friday morning (9/25/20). It happened shortly after 4 a.m. According to Trooper Jake Bramer’s preliminary report, 51-year-old Timothy Turner, of Sparta, was driving a United States Postal Service truck when the drive axle broke, causing Mr. Turner to veer off the side of the road into the median. The rear double trailer flipped on its side and the tractor jackknifed. The THP reports no injuries. TDOT Smartway reported the crash blocked the leftbound lanes for most of the morning at the westbound 313 mile marker.
