Cumberland County Director of Schools, Dr. Ina Maxwell, and School Nutrition District Supervisor, Kathy Hamby, have announced that the free meal program for ALL kids has been extended from December 31, 2020 until the end of the 2020-2021 School Year. That means all Cumberland County students and kids age 18 and under will have access to 1 (one) breakfast and 1 (one) lunch at no charge. Meals for virtual learners, non-student kids, and weekend meals for those attending classes on campus can be scheduled for pick up through any school cafeteria manager. All meals will be reimbursed by USDA at the free rate, therefore all student payments made for meals between August 12, 2020, and September 1, 2020, have been reimbursed to the student’s meal account.
