Presidential no-fly zone breached over Middle Tennessee

Oct 24, 2020 | 5:00 AM

Fighter jets intercepted a private aircraft that wandered into a restricted area prior to Thursday’s Presidential debate in Nashville. Around 2 p.m. Thursday, an F-16 fighter was deployed to intercept a non-communicating plane over the Dickson area. According to NORAD, the fighter released signal flares near the aircraft. The plane landed without incident. Jets were later sent to investigate a second plane in the Spring Hill area. That plane also landed without incident. A 30 mile no-fly zone extends from the president wherever he goes.
