The Stone Memorial High School Panthers traveled to Tullahoma Friday night to play the Tullahoma High School Wildcats in the first round of the TSSAA State Playoffs. The home team improved to 11 and 0 this season with a 49-8 victory over the Panthers. Tullahoma ranked second in the State in Class 4A according to the Associated Press will advance to the second round of the playoffs and will be in action next Friday night. Stone Memorial claimed fourth in Region 3 Class 4A this season as the Panthers made their eighth straight trip to the playoffs.
Other playoff scores for Region 3 Class 4A teams: Livingston Academy lost at Nolensville 38-14, Macon County fell to Marshall County 24-12, and DeKalb County, originally ruled ineligible to play in the playoffs due to COVID-19 restrictions, was able to take the field and the Tigers posted a 38-15 win over Spring Hill.
