Local Man Scammed On Facebook Marketplace

A local man looking to get a good deal on a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace reports he was scammed out of hundreds of dollars with no car to show for his money. The victim told Crossville Police that the seller went by the name of Jodi Green of Clarksville, Tennessee and refused to the hold the vehicle without a deposit. The victim went to the Crossville Walmart and made a $600 money transfer. He then sent a picture of the reference number to Ms. Green via text message. He later tried to contact Ms. Green through Facebook Marketplace and her phone number with no success. The vehicle he was interested in purchasing was also taken offline.
