A Smithville man has been arrested in connection to a series of fires in DeKalb County. TBI Public Information Officer Susan Niland says the DeKalb County Grand Jury returned indictments charging 37-year-old Joshua David Pitman (DOB 01/13/1983) with three counts of Arson and three counts of Setting Fire to Personal Property after TBI Agents developed information that identified Pitman as the person responsible for starting fires at two abandoned houses in September. Pitman was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
