The Crossville Beer Board voted Tuesday evening to impose a $500 fine on two businesses after a compliance check by authorities. Priceless IGA was fined after a clerk failed to check the ID of an underage person attempting to purchase beer. The recently appointed store manager, who was not the manager at the time of the incident, said that the employee is no longer employed and that additional training has been implemented to prevent a future occurrence. Also fined was Pappy’s Place Bar and Grill after a server checked ID’s but failed to notice the "under 21" flag. Fines must be paid within seven days or their beer permits will be suspended for 90 days.
