REGION III WILDLIFE MANAGER MARC LIPNER RETIRES

Region III Wildlife Manager Marc Lipner has retired after 35 years of service. A long-standing public servant, Lipner served the state and is a retired Battalion First Sergeant with the United States Army. Lipner first worked with the agency in 1979 as a Young Adult Conservation Corps on Catoosa Wildlife Management Area (WMA) after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Forestry Management. In 1993, he was hired as the Catoosa WMA Forester. He then took a Manager 1 position on Catoosa WMA and was commissioned as an officer in 2000. Lipner was promoted to a Wildlife Manager 3 in Lands Management in 2008 and worked diligently in the position. Described as steadfast, Lipner’s dedication to land and wildlife management was impactful during his career with the agency. His colleagues say he will be missed and TWRA wishes Marc the best in his retirement.
