The Tennessee Volunteers basketball program was moved into the Top 10 in the nation this week before entering Tuesday’s game against, Sun Belt Conference Member, the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Tennessee had a very good defensive game causing the Mountaineers to have 18 turnovers and have a shooting percentage of 23.8 on 3-Pointers. The Vols rolled through the Mountaineers with a final score of 79-38. Rick Barnes had his best defensive game at the University of Tennessee holding App State to only 38 points. The offense for the Vols was produced by John Fulkerson with 12 points, Josiah-Jordan James with 11 points, Victor Bailey Jr. with 13 points, and Jaden Springer with 12 points. Tennessee’s next game will be Friday when the Golden Eagles from Cookeville will travel to Knoxville. Tennessee will host Tennessee Tech Friday at 6:00 PM.
