The U.S. Senate confirmed Katherine Crytzer to serve as U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Senate members on Wednesday voted 48-47 to confirm the 36-year-old Crytzer, after she was nominated by President Donald Trump. Crytzer replaces former U.S. District Judge Pamela Reeves, who was the first woman to be chief judge in the district?s 222-year history. Reeves died earlier this year after battling cancer.
