Gov. Lee Extends State Of Emergency

Dec 23, 2020 | 12:42 PM

Governor Bill Lee has extended the state of emergency in Tennessee through February.  On Tuesday the governor also signed Executive Orders extending remote meetings by governing bodies and remote notarizations.  After addressing the state on Sunday regarding Tennessee’s surge in COVID-19 cases, Governor Lee signed an Executive indoor public gatherings to 10 people but does not apply to weddings, funerals or churches.  The order does tighten restrictions for schools by banning spectators at K-12 sports events.
