Firefighters were called out to a vehicle explosion in downtown Nashville Christmas morning.  The blast occurred around 6:30am as Metro police were investigating a suspicious vehicle on Second Avenue.  At least three people were taken to the hospital but their injuries are not believed to be critical.  The explosion damaged several buildings and was felt across much of Davidson County.  Heavy, black smoke and flames could be seen on Second Avenue near Church Street.  Emergency crews closed a 10-block radius around the site.   Police have called the explosion an “intentional act” and the investigation is ongoing.
