Cumberland County recorded two more COVID-19 deaths on Monday, December 28, 2020, bringing the county’s death toll to 51 from the novel coronavirus. Positive cases increased by 18 from Sunday to 4,225. Active cases fell by 4 to 740. Hospitalizations increased by 1 to 97. Cumberland County’s positivity rate on Monday was 27.60%.
Putnam County reports 118 COVID-19 deaths.
Rhea County reports 46 COVID-19 deaths.
Roane County reports 49 COVID-19 deaths.
The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that the total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is 567,792 as of December 28, 2020 (up 3,712 from Sunday) including 6,588 deaths (up 76 from Sunday); 2,983 current hospitalizations (up 130 from Sunday) and 483,525 recovered. Statewide, the percent positive for Monday, December 28, 2020 is 22.96%.
