100 More COVID-19 Deaths Reported Wednesday In Tennessee

An additional 100 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Tennessee on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Tuesday saw an additional 122 deaths statewide bringing the coronavirus death toll to 6,810.  Hospitalizations from the deadly virus soared by 144 on Wednesday alone for a total of 3,212 current hospitalizations across the state. The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is 580,809 as of Wednesday, December 30, 2020 (up 8,220 from Tuesday).  The percent positive for Wednesday is 23.68%.

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020 Cumberland County saw 97 new cases, bringing the county’s total positive case count to 4,358.  Active cases rose by 13 to 651.  Deaths remained the same at 51 and hospitalizations remained at 98.

Rhea County reports 48 people dead from COVID-19.

Roane County reports 54 people dead from COVID-19.
