At the request of 8th District Attorney General Jared Effler, TBI Agents are working alongside the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office in investigating a shooting that occurred on the evening of December 27th. Preliminary information indicates that two people were traveling along Highway 127 when an individual in a pickup truck fired shots into their vehicle, striking the driver. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released. At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing.
