Thursday night the newly national ranked Tennessee Lady Volunteers hosted the Bulldogs from Georgia with an attempt to stay undefeated in SEC Conference play. After leading Georgia at the halfway mark 40-25 the Bulldogs made a huge comeback to knockoff the Lady Volunteers with a final score of 67-66. Tennessee, still struggling with turnovers, committed 24 giveaways. Lady Vols Senior and scoring leader Thursday night Rennia Davis stated, “I thought we got too comfortable at halftime”. Tennessee head coach Kellie Harper commented saying, “For us, it was a lack of focus, lack of toughness,”. Thursday nights game was a history making night for Georgia as it was the first time the Bulldogs have won in Knoxville since 1996. The Tennessee lady Volunteers will travel to Tuscaloosa Sunday to be guest to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
