Jan 26, 2021 | 10:07 AM

A Sparta woman faces numerous drug charges after the vehicle in which she was a passenger was stopped for a traffic violation. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reports that a white Chevy Tahoe was pulled over at the Mayland Market Saturday night (1/23/2021) for no tag lights.  Heather Lynn Knott, age 47, was one of four people asked to get out of the vehicle.  Police say Knott was “very fidgety and could not stand still.”  A search of Knott’s person revealed a small bag with a white crystal substance.  She also had a bag of marijuana in her pants.  Knott was arrested for Manufacture, Delivery, Sell or Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession and Resisting Arrest.
