Travel guide “Outforia” has listed the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as the third most dangerous park in the nation, just behind the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. From 2010 to 2020, 92 deaths occurred at the park with 37 of those fatalities caused by motor vehicle crashes. Medical/natural death was the second leading cause of fatalities at the Smokies.
