Saturday afternoon at Cumberland County High School the Jets and Lady Jets played host to semi-final games of the District 7AA Tournament. The Jets posted an 83-64 win over Bledsoe County to advance to the Championship game Tuesday at 6:00 at Grundy County High School. The Lady Jets held off the Grundy County Lady Yellow Jackets 54-40 and will host the District Tournament Title game Monday at 6:00 as they entertain Sequatchie County. Both the Jets and Lady Jets have locked up home games in the first round of the Region Tournament. All CCHS postseason action is on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
Stone Memorial High School met White County High School in a couple of District 6AAA Tournament semi-final games on Saturday with one played in Crossville and one in Sparta. The Lady Panthers posted a 79-62 home win over the Warriorettes to advance to the District Tournament Championship game Monday at 6:00 as they meet the Lady Cavs in Cookeville. The Panthers battled the Warriors in Sparta and fell 62-55. The Panthers will host Cookeville in the consolation game of the District Tournament Tuesday at 6:00. The Lady Panthers will be at home for the first round of the Region Tournament while the Panthers will travel for their first round Region game. SMHS games are on Mix 99.3.
