According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a blue truck at the Dollar General in Crab Orchard for the license plate not being illuminated. In the truck was driver Justin Jones, a female in the passenger seat with her three kids in the back. After checking with dispatch it was revealed that Mr. Jones’s license to be suspended. In the back of the cab, in the truck, sitting on the frame of the truck were the three kids whose ages were five, six, and thirteen. However aby their birthdays the children are five, nine, and ten years old. The seat had been taken out of the back and the children were sitting on the floor. None of the children in the back were restrained in a car seat or booster seat. Mr. Jones’s license are suspended due to failure to show proof of insurance on the vehicle as well. Justin was given a citation for driving uninsured. Justin Jones was arrested and charged with Child Abuse, No Drivers License, and Financial Responsibility Law. A DSC referral was made over the incident.
