An injured hiker was rescued early Sunday morning from the Prentice Cooper/Rainbow Lake area of Signal Mountain. Rescuers were called out Saturday afternoon. Due to the steep and rugged trail, it reportedly took more than 12 hours and over two dozen agencies to bring the hiker, who had suffered an ankle injury, to safety.
