Crossville Man Arrested During Investigation Of Fatal Soaky Mountain Waterpark Shooting

A Crossville man was arrested during the investigation of Saturday night’s fatal shooting in the parking lot of Soaky Mountain Water.  Sevierville Police were called to the waterpark around 8pm. Joshua Dannels, 30, of Crossville, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated.  Sarah Romine, 31, of Knoxville, was arrested and charged with second degree murder, multiple counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.  Police believe Romine shot both Kelsy Cook, 24, of Loudon and Angie Russell, 23, also of Loudon, following an altercation that escalated into a shooting in the parking lot. Cook died from her injuries. Russell was taken to LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.
