The 109th playing of the Third Saturday in October game was held in Tuscaloosa Saturday where the 4th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide rolled against Tennessee in the second half. Tennessee hung around with Alabama for three quarters with the score between the Vols and Tide at one point being 31-24. However after a Tennessee turnover and a failed 4th down conversion Alabama went on and defeated Tennessee 52-24.
Hendon Hooker got the nod to start tonight’s game after going down by a leg injury in the Ole Miss game a week ago. Hooker went 19 for 29 in passing with 282 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Cedric Tillman, JaVonta Payton, and Velus Jones Jr., where the receivers with the 3 Tennessee touchdowns.
