Friday night the Stone Memorial High School Panthers traveled to Chattanooga to play the Lions at Red Bank High School in a first round matchup of the TSSAA State Playoffs. SMHS, making their ninth straight trip to the Playoffs, dropped a 41-6 decision.  The Panthers end their season with a 6 and 5 record.

Other games involving Region 4 Class 4A teams on Friday: Upperman rolled past Soddy Daisy 46-7, DeKalb County posted a win at East Hamilton 35-21 and Macon County slipped past Chattanooga Central 28-26

Thursday night the CCHS Jets finished their season with 6 and 5 record thanks to a 41-14 win at Sequoyah.
