Tennessee reports at least four fatalities from the storms that tore through the state Friday night and Saturday. The National Weather Service has confirmed 15 tornadoes in Middle Tennessee with at least three of those classified as E-F2.  More storms could be ranked as tornadoes after storm damage assessments are completed.

There were two fatalities in Lake County; one fatality in Obion County; and one fatality in Shelby County.  The two killed in Lake County were a father and his 12-year-old son who were visiting from Tallahassee, Florida.  Their bodies were found at the Cypress Point Resort in Tiptonville.

On Sunday, Tennessee remained in a State of Emergency from the Friday-night-through-Saturday-morning storm outbreak across the state that caused fatalities, damaged structures and residences in more than 20 counties, and disrupted power and water utility operations.

While Middle and West Tennessee experienced significant impacts, the storms did not spare East Tennessee.  Counties along the Cumberland Plateau and eastward had some damage and utilities disruptions.  Sevier County worked to restore power to 2,500 locations while also having to contain two separate brush fires.

Agriculture operations in Tennessee were also impacted with four, poultry barns collapsing in Clay County and trapping 80,000 chickens, and the Ellington Agriculture Center in Nashville had several trees downed in the storm.

Governor Bill Lee conducted a survey of damage in Dickson, Stewart, and Lake counties Sunday afternoon and met with local officials on-the-ground in Tiptonville and Dresden, where boil water advisories remain in place.
