A man apprehended in Jamestown, Tennessee last October for Abuse of a Corpse will now stand trial for the murder of an Indiana man. This month, the Delaware County Prosecutors Office in Indiana filed murder charges against Ian Sheldon, who is suspected of murdering Mark Trent in 2016 and dumping his body off the side of a mountain. On Friday, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the assistance of numerous agencies that led to the arrest of Sheldon and the recovery of Mr. Trent’s remains. Agencies cooperating with this case include the Delaware County Indiana Prosecuting Attorney, Fentress County Sheriff’s Office, Fentress County Fire Department, Cumberland County High Rise Search and Rescue, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Providing Hope VA.
