After almost two decades, the US Chess Federation headquarters is moving from its current location in Crossville, Tennessee to St. Louis, Missouri. Senior Director of Strategic Communication Daniel Lucas said no date has been established for the move but the US Chess Federation expects it to happen this year. A Special Delegates Meeting is scheduled for March 23, 2022 at 8:30pm ET. The US Chess Delegates must vote to approve the sale of the building in Crossville at this meeting. If approved, the building will be placed on the market.
A Press Release stated, “US Chess is forever grateful for the support provided by the City of Crossville, the Crossville community, Crossville businesses, and the State of Tennessee over the past 18 years. They will always be acknowledged as a valued part of our organization’s history and embraced as dear friends of chess.”
