The Stone Memorial High School Panthers played the Greeneville High School Greene Devils in the State Tournament Semifinals Friday morning in Murfreesboro. The Panthers ended their season with a 22 and 11 record as they dropped a 59-55 decision to the Greene Devils. SMHS trailed by 8 at the half and the Panthers were down by just a single point through three quarters. Each team led in the final frame before the Greene Devils posted the 4-point win. During the season, the Stone Memorial High School Panthers claimed the District 7AAA regular season Championship, won the Region 4AAA Tournament Title, posted a State Sectional win over Austin-East and advanced to the Class AAA State Tournament where they posted a win over Bolton High School before falling to Greeneville.
