The 10-day manhunt ended Monday (5/9/2022) for an escaped Alabama inmate and the former corrections officer accused of helping him. Authorities say they were tipped off that Casey White and Vicky White had been seen in Evansville, Indiana. Police spotted their vehicle and the pursuit ended in a crash. Casey White sustained non-life threatening injuries. Vicky White reportedly shot herself and was taken to a hospital where she died Monday night. An autopsy will be performed Tuesday. The fugitives were only about 175 miles away from where they ditched their getaway car on April 29 in Williamson County, Tennessee.
