Great Smoky Mountains National Park rangers found the body of an elderly Cocke County man partially submerged in the middle of a river Monday afternoon. The body of 72-year-old Charles Queen, of Bybee, Tennessee was recovered from the Little River about 1-mile west of Metcalf Bottoms. Mr. Queen’s vehicle was located about 600-feet upriver along a steep embankment. There were no apparent signs of foul play. An autopsy will be performed in an effort to determine time and cause of death.
