A Rockwood woman died Monday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after she reportedly shot her husband in the abdomen. Roane County deputies went to the home of Betty Jo Chandler around 3pm and found her deceased. Her husband, 58-year-old Robert Chandler, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The Roane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
