During a special called meeting of the Crossville City Council on Tuesday, it was revealed that District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway was compiling a nuisance case against the Village Inn. Dunaway told council members that his office had been working on the “problematic property” regarding several incidents there, including drug overdose deaths and frequent arrests. While he did not indicate how soon his case would have been ready, his office is no longer pursuing action due to the recent events regarding a procedural error in the condemnation of the Village Inn.
