5-Year-Old Boy Shot And Killed At Middle TN Park

A 5-year-old boy was shot and killed at a park in Middle Tennessee on Monday night.  Police say the child was near the basketball courts at Lee Victory Recreation Park in Smyrna when he was fatally wounded.  A spokesperson for the Town of Smyrna said that multiple witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate that it was an accident.  The boy’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.
