Cumberland County Clerk Office closed for repairs

Sep 27, 2022 | 6:48 AM

The office of Cumberland County Clerk Jules Bryson will be closed due to structural damage to the 117 year old building. The damage was discovered after a water leak revealed major structural damage in the large courtroom above the clerk’s office. An inspection by a structural engineering firm found at least two large oak roof trusses have significant damage. Mayor Allen Foster says they are actively working to find a way to safely reopen the office as quickly as possible. Other offices in the building will be operating normally.
