The Union County Sheriff’s Office has suffered a tragic loss of Deputy Matthew Kirrman, age 27. Deputy Kirrman was found deceased just after midnight on Sunday, October 9th 2022 when his patrol vehicle was found wrecked in the area of Ailor Gap Rd. At Possum Valley Rd. The Tennesssee Bureau of Investigation along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to investigate the incident. Deputy Kirrman had previously served at the Knox County Sheriffs Office. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Kirrman family, he will be greatly missed.
