High School Football

The High School football regular season came to a close Friday night with the Panthers and Jets playing road Region Games. The State’s 7th ranked team, the SMHS Panthers, finished the season with a 9 and 1 record as they posted a 29-28 overtime win at DeKalb County High School.  SMHS trailed by 14 at the half but rallied to tie the game then won it with a 2-point conversion in OT. The Panthers are headed to the State Playoffs for a 10th straight season and will be the number one seed from Region 4 Class 4A. SMHS will host Hixson Friday night, November 4th, at 7:00. Catch the broadcast on Mix 99.3.  CCHS ended their season on Friday with a 44-0 loss at Macon County. The Jets finish with a record of 2 and 8.
