Two people were killed in a crash on Sparta Highway late Saturday afternoon (11/19.2022). It happened around 4:30pm. According to the THP, 66-year-old Gary Grant, of Evansville, Tennessee was driving a 2018 Chrysler Sedan and was attempting to turn left from Sparta Drive onto Highway 70 West when he pulled into the path of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by 90-year-old Camilla Wyatt of Crossville. Mrs. Wyatt and Mr. Grant both died from their injuries. An 11-year-old passenger in Grant’s vehicle had suspected serious injuries. Three other passengers in Grant’s car, a 32-year-old woman and a 9-year-old and 5-year-old all had suspected minor injuries.
Camilla Wyatt was the widow of former Crossville City Councilman Boyd Wyatt.
