Bledsoe County Man Allegedly Fired Towards Children On Youth Hunt

A Bledsoe County man allegedly fired into the woods in the direction of children and adults participating in a youth hunting event over the weekend.  News Channel 9 reports it happened Saturday night.  Alex Gibbs was identified as the shooter by the news outlet.  They say Gibbs was not arrested but he was detained for several hours by the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office.  No injuries were immediately reported but authorities are calling it a “very serious incident”.  Ben Bell, President of the Dayton Mountain Hound Association, organized the event and said the kids were not even close to Gibbs’ property.  The case is still under investigation and is likely headed to a grand jury in the coming weeks.
