Strong winds in the area of Tabor Loop and Lawson Road Tuesday afternoon ripped off a portion of the roof of at least one large building, sending the debris into a field across the road. The storm also brought down trees on the roadway and at least one home and one outbuilding. It also heavily damaged a carport at one home where an RV was stored. Utility crews worked well until dark making repairs. Meteorologist Mark Baldwin was monitoring the storm and said there was never any indication of strong rotation but there were indications of strong straight-line winds. There were no immediate reports of injuries. (Mr. Joel Jara shared photos near his proper
ty. The photo of the tree on the house is courtesy Meteorologist Mark Baldwin and was taken by Breana Goble.)
