Gun Threat At Jack Daniel’s; Distillery And Area Schools Placed On Brief Lockdown

Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, TN and area schools were placed on a brief lockdown Tuesday morning after the whiskey company received a call that a man who was “possibly armed” was on his way to the facility from Maury County.  In a press release, the Metro Moore County Sheriff’s Department said they alerted neighboring jurisdictions and the THP.  Officers with the Columbia Police Department were able to apprehend the suspect at his residence without incident.  The suspect’s name was not immediately released.  The Moore County Sheriff’s Department said that a no time was there an armed suspect present on any Jack Daniel or Metro Moore County School campus. Charges at the time of the press release were still pending.
