Severe storm damage was reported Thursday afternoon in Meigs County, which is about 45 miles southeast of Cumberland County. The storm brought down trees and powerlines and damaged at least one barn. Most of the damage was around Sharp Road and Highway 58, south of Decatur.
As the storms moved through East Tennessee Thursday a Tornado Warning was issued for several counties and electricity was knocked out for thousands.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
