#9 Tennessee Bounces Back to Defeat Mississippi State, 70-59

For the second time this season the 9th ranked Tennessee Volunteers took on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. Tennessee was looking to bounce back after getting upset by Kentucky last Saturday. The Vols and Bulldogs were tied 23-23 at halftime. After a second half offensive push from Zakai Zeigler and Jullian Phillips, Tennessee defeats Mississippi State for the second time this season with a final score of 70-59.

Leading scorers for Tennessee were Zakai Zeigler, Julian Phiilips, and Josiah-Jordan James. Zeigler had a career high 24 points leading the way in the that second half offensive explosion. Phillips was able to score 18 points and James scored 13 points. Leading scorers for Mississippi State were Shakeel More putting up 20 points and Tolu Smith who had a Double-Double for the Bulldogs having 11 points and 10 rebounds.
