Toddler Left In Car Reunited With Family After Thief Crashes In Chattanooga

A toddler who was left in a vehicle with the engine running has been reunited with her family after a thief took off with her in the car and later crashed.  It happened Monday morning in Chattanooga. Police say the suspect crashed on I-75 near the I-24 split, got out of the car and ran into the woods. The child was not hurt and investigators don’t believe the suspect meant to kidnap her; he just wanted to steal the car.  The thief remained at large as of noon Monday.
