Greg Hanson chosen as Chairman of Cumberland Plateau Water Authority Board

Greg Hanson was chosen to chair the Cumberland Plateau Water Authority Board during their organizational meeting on Tuesday. Hanson was not present, but listened to the proceedings by phone. Sean Stephens was named as vice-chair while Kevin Chamberlain was elected to serve as secretary. The board was created by a private act that would allow them to seek solutions for a potential regional water supply and, if approved by the water districts, a complete merger of all water suppliers in Cumberland County. The board voted to hold regular meetings but did not set a date or time for the next session.
